It’s a mistake to presume that the Arkansas State Troopers with whom our lawyers work to investigate motorcycle, truck and car accidents only handle those kinds of cases.
Despite the comfortable quality of life enjoyed by many people in Arkansas, our state is still home to the kinds of tragic, dramatic crimes that you might expect to learn about on an episode of “Law & Order: SVU,” so Little Rock-area car accident officers often find themselves responding to those calls.
Consider the April 2015 arrest made by Arkansas State Troopers and civilian investigators from the State Police Crimes Against Children Division.
An ongoing investigation by that agency resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Amber Johnson of North Little Rock as part of a larger human trafficking investigation. The arrest happened at a Little Rock hotel, according to State Police. They removed a teenager and two young children from the room where Johnson was arrested.
“Credit goes to the State Troopers who initially had little to work with, ” Col. Bill Bryant said in a May 4th press release/prepared statement about the case. “Troopers reached out to others in this department who possess specialized training and together they devoted themselves to rescue a child lost in the vicious world of human traffickers.”
An agent with the FBI Field Office in Little Rock also lauded State Troopers for their handling of the case.
“Arkansas should be proud of the outstanding response by the Arkansas State Police on this case,” Special Agent David T. Resch also in the statement.
Our Little Rock car accident and personal injury attorneys want to join the chorus in applauding the Arkansas State Police for their achievement in this usual case as well as the work they do on a daily basis to keep Arkansans safe.
